Dear past me,

I’m glad you’ve changed so much. But I wish I could tell you things I know now that you didn’t then. I’d tell you to try harder in school. That it does matter, it’s not as easy as you think it is. I wish I could tell you all those heartaches and tears are just stupid, and a waste of time. I want to protect you from all of the things you’ve gotten hurt by because of me. But then again, I want to congratulate you. You’ve learned from your mistakes and you’ve made a difference in who you are and you’ve become a stronger person. I’m proud of you, for who you’ve become.
